"I want Jesus to hold me," said Megan, who always wants to be held. (We were in the car and she said this out of the blue.) I'd recently listened to the Conference talk (Bonnie D. Parkins?) about being encircled by the arms of His love. Her comment touched my heart. I wished I could explain to her that Jesus held her all the time.
"I want to play with Jesus on the skateboard," said James a little later. Then he asked if Jesus was at temple. Rex said he didn't know if he was there right now. He was in heaven with Heavenly Father.
It occured to me that they think of Jesus like any ordinary person here on earth that they can play with. I thought maybe that was a good thing, that He was someone they thought of as a familiar person rather than some untangible distant being.
