Shortage or no shortage -- make up your mind!
I'm so tired of the lie about the shortage of oil being the reason for gas prices going up or down. Why can't they be up front about it and admit it's really all a matter of greed? We all know the truth, so why pretend? I read the funniest article yesterday: Gas prices drop as supply increased due to Hurricane Ike. And today, there's an article that begins: A severe fuel shortage has gripped parts of the southeastern United States, causing long lines at filling stations. So yesterday there was ironically an increase in supply and today there is a shortage again -- and both stories say the reason is due to the Hurricanes Ike and Gustav? Hmmm. Can't they make up their minds? If our kids kept waffling on their story, do you think Mom and Dad would believe them? We've taught our kids the moral of crying wolf, so how come the U.S. as a whole doesn't get it?
