The day after the beach (Tuesday), we hit the theaters as Regal Cinemas started their free Tues/Wed kid movies. Unfortunately, Isaac woke up throwing up, so he had to stay home with Dad. The Wednesday movie bored the kids so we left to run errands and stopped at Barnes and Noble for the kids to play with the trains and books (a common free thing we do with the kids).
Rex's parents babysat one evening so we could go see As You Like It at San Antonio's annual Shakespeare in the Park. (It was nice to go out together, even if we couldn't see the stage.)
Thursday's activities were canceled to accommodate a friends' emergency: we babysat their kids all day. Our kids enjoyed having playmates at home, and even though I dislike babysitting, sometimes, helping others is more important than having fun.
Friday's activities were canceled because James began throwing up that morning. His Flu lasted till Saturday afternoon. Saturday's activities were canceled because Rex too became ill.
Everyone was well for church on Sunday. But Monday was errand day, and Megan threw up all night that night. She was well by morning, but by that time, it was my turn.
Rex had a teacher job fair on Tuesday and Wednesday, and I was sick for most of that time, so our adventures were still postponed. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were catch up days as Rex and I had errands to run and lessons to prepare for on Sunday as well as Father's Day to prepare for and celebrate.
But I was determined to put Summer Time Fun back on the calendar with the start of the next week.
