Our neighbor, knowing that Rex was a teacher, asked this question. Well, we didn't know about the issue so I looked it up and here is the link to the article. Please read the last comment by Kevin Sloan. Sounds like another good teacher got the shaft. I don't think any fellow teacher would blame the guy even if the accusations were true. (After what happened to Mr. Adams at WHHS and then seeing firsthand how underhanded school administration can be, I never believe any accusation of a teacher. Maybe there are some bad teachers out there, but I think even the majority of teachers wearing a scarlet letter are just scapegoats falsely accused.)
Any ideas on how, as public citizens, we can help get rid of TAKS, or even better, the NCLB? I was wondering why it can't go to public vote. Who does get to vote on these things? Would a petition a mile long of parents submitted to our state rep do any good?
