I guess the oil companies have decided to declare "no shortage" at the moment. Or rather, I've heard they are claiming there is less demand now that the economy has gone south. Hmmm, I still see people driving just as much as before.... Even more so: this morning was cold so the usual walkers to school (which were never many to begin with) decided to drive their kids the 1/4 mile; over Columbus Day (three-day weekend), Megan was disappointed her best friend couldn't come over because their family decided to go to the beach (Corpus Christi).
The gas station nearest us is at $2.35 today. When Rex and I were dating, gas was between $1.69 and $1.89. The highest I've seen at the gas station nearest us was $3.95.

Saw gas here late last night for $2.01. When Bob and I were dating, gas was $0.88/gal. My mom and dad laughed when I said that. When they were dating, gas was less than a quarter/gallon. It's crazy was time does to prices.
