When you become a parent, you put yourself on the shelf and life revolves around the kids. Most of the activities we do are for them. This weekend, we actually went somewhere that Rex and I wanted to go, and it wasn't really for the kids. While they behaved marvelously, the excursion wasn't as exciting as we'd hoped. On the way home, we stopped to play with cousins at the park, which turned out to be the highlight of the entire day. Funny how sometimes the things we do for someone else turn out to be the best part of life.
The park we went to has those spinning seats that I can't resist. It's like rolling down the hills at Persidio Park back home. I guess there IS a little kid in me somewhere.
