Lindy Hop Blues Spinoff

A LOT of the Lindy Hop crowd has crossed over to Blues. But it is not for me. When asked why not, I try to be as diplomatic as I can by simply saying "I need my personal space." It's the best way I can say it without the Blues Converts getting offended. I can sort of see how the two are related, with the same bounciness to a slower beat. But I still think it's weird that people who dance a cute, peppy, chaste dance could swing so far sensual (or attempt to be so). This video made me laugh SO hard. (This may be tacky, but honestly, I think Blues Dancing -- at least my exposure to it -- is cheap). And this is a pretty good example of why. To each their own, but I am not comfortable with what I experienced.) And the Lindy Hoppers say I went to the Dark Side (WCS)? So, without further ado, I present my take on Blues Dancing.

In case any of my dancing friends actually read this: you are free to like what you want to like. It is just not for ME.
